20th annual School Psychology Institute Colloquium

Event Description

Patrick Friman will present a research colloquium for the 20th annual School Psychology Institute. The Institute is sponsored by the Graduate Programs in School Psychology and Department of Psychology. The colloquium will be held in 551 DeGarmo Hall.

Friman’s topic is “Behavioral Pediatrics in Primary Care: A Healthcare Opportunity for Psychologists.” The colloquium will focus on the growth of behavioral pediatrics over the past 30 years, which recognizes the “behavioral problems that initially and ofter only present in primary care pediatric settings” and “the nature of interactions between medical and behavioral factors in child health.” The colloquium is open to interested, current students and faculty across the University as well as local mental health professionals.
