Art Gallery Summer Camp
Tuesday, July 23 , 10:00 am – Friday, July 26 , 3:00 pm CDT
Students (age 10-14) will tour exhibitions on view at University Galleries, be introduced to the work of various contemporary artists, and create artworks using different mediums and techniques in 2D, 3D, and digital media. They will also learn introductory skills for preparing their artwork for presentation, writing labels and artist statements, and curating an exhibition.
A pop-up exhibition of artwork created by students during the camp will be on view from 1:30-2 p.m. on Friday, July 26. Cookies and water will be provided. Students will take their artwork home after the pop-up exhibition.
