Event Description

ISU Alum John Malkovich received an Obie Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award for the 1985 revival of this Lanford Wilson play. Laurie Metcalf, also an ISU Alum, won the 1985 Obie Award for her performance in this gritty drama. The setting is an all-night greasy spoon in New York’s upper Broadway neighborhood. The characters are the riff-raff, the bums, the petty thieves, and the lost. These characters are desperate to come together and seek the joy and purpose in life which will, most certainly, continue to escape them.

Tickets for the performances are $17.00 for adults, $12 for students and seniors, and $14 for Illinois State faculty and staff. Tickets can be purchased at the College of Fine Arts Box Office, located in the Center for the Performing Arts, from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or by calling (309) 438-2535. Tickets are also available through ticketmaster.com. Free parking is available in the School Street Parking deck for all performances.
