Brighton Summer Study Abroad meeting

Event Description

**Partners from University of Brighton will be there**
What Will I be Doing?
-Study British education and culture
-Teaching strategies using drama techniques and the performing arts for student engagement in your future classroom
-Visit local schools and receive up to 15 clinical hours
-Cost includes guided day trip to London, tour of Brighton Pavilion, Beachy Head, Alfriston, Bodium Castle, Arundel Castle
-Weekend trips to Bath & Stonehenge and Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon included!
-One free weekend to plan your own travel!

Where Will I Live?
-Cost includes dorm accommodations with private room and bath, shared fully equipped kitchen and all bedding and towels

What Courses Will I Be Taking?
-Students will receive 6 credit hours: TCH 210 Child Growth & Development and TCH 287 Independent Study.
-Elementary Education majors may use TCH 287 as the art/music/theatre course required for the major
-Other majors should check with their advisor to determine if TCH 287 can be used to fulfill a program elective
-Students that have already taken TCH 210 will receive credit for TCH 265 Curriculum and Pedagogy Issues In Education in a Global Society
