The Department of Psychology will present a talk titled, “Teaching young children in the pursuit of justice” with Mariana Souto-Manning, Ph.D., at 10 a.m. Friday, February 28, in the State Farm Hall of Business room 357. Souto-Manning is a Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching at Teacher’s College, Columbia University. This event is part of the Children’s Studies Minor Speaker Series.

What does it mean to teach in the pursuit of justice? Acknowledging the harms inflicted on young children, families, and communities of color, Professor Mariana Souto-Manning (Teachers College, Columbia University) will provide windows into pedagogical practices in the pursuit of justice.
