CLASSROOM JOURNEY: Anderson Japanese Gardens & Nicholas Conservatory in Rockford

Enjoy a guided tour of Anderson Japanese Gardens. With grace, elegance, and gentle awareness, the garden exemplifies the Japanese cultural heritage of respectful humility in service to people of all cultures. Also explore the Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens, which brings the tropics to the Midwest. Enjoy the Secret Life of Butterflies display at the conservatory to get an up-close look at native and exotic butterflies. Kate Evans, doctoral student, and Elyse McCormick, graduate student, ISU, will join us on the bus to discuss entomology, pollination and conservation.

Price includes transportation, snacks, lunch, site admission and tour fees.

The bus will depart from ISU’s Office of Parking and Transportation lot, 709 N. Main St, Normal.
