Cook with a Redbird Chef: Teens’ Edition
Back by popular demand, Cook with a Redbird Chef: Teens’ Edition, featuring ISU Executive Chef Matt Horton, will teach your child the basics of cooking, give them a hands-on cooking experience, and provide some tasty snacks during the event as well. A parent must accompany children participants.
Menu includes quick scratch biscuits, sausage gravy, mini egg quiches and citrus fruit salad.
4:30–5 p.m., Welcome and demonstration by Executive Chef Matt Horton. Snacks provided.
5–6:15 p.m., Guests create meals
6:15-6:30 p.m. Guests tasting of Chef Matt’s meal. Guests pack meals in provided containers to enjoy at home.
Each registration can have up to two children with a parent attending (no cost for parent). This event is suitable for ages 12 and older. Register by March 13 (or until event sells out) by calling Juliana Nelson at (309) 438-2495, Monday-Fridays from 8:30-4 p.m.
