Crushing it in 2021: Insights for thriving in this time of interim

Friday, January 22nd
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Event Description

Please note the date of this event has changed from Wednesday, January 20 to Friday, January 22.

We have all been through challenging times in 2020, some more than others. Although 2021 promises to hold more challenges, it will also present more opportunities to build things anew.  No one really knows the right way to live through a pandemic; however, there are things each one of us can do to ensure our own well-being and thriving during challenging times and build a better version of ourselves and our world in times ahead.

Join Dr. Amelia Franck Meyer ’89, M.S. ’95, founder and CEO of the national nonprofit Alia, to explore ways to take on 2021 with fortitude and intention. Franck Meyer strives to create positive environments throughout her work. So much so that she was named People’s “25 Women Changing the World” in 2018 and has a widely viewed TEDx Talk on the Human Need for Belonging.  In 2015, Amelia was also honored as a Bush Fellow and an Ashoka Fellow. She also received the ISU Alumni Achievement Award in 2018.

Those that attend this session can expect to leave enlightened and inspired.
