CSR/Case Competition – Business Week
Corporate Social Responsibility is the aim to embrace responsibility for a company’s actions and encourage a positive impact on the environment through activities involving consumers, employees, communities, and stakeholders. Corporate Social Responsibility goes beyond what is required by regulators and promotes the betterment of business practices for sustained positive change. Corporate Social Responsibility Day (CSR Day) provides the opportunity for students to learn from industry leaders about the growing importance of Corporate Social Responsibility in the workplace.
This year’s case competition took place on Friday – November 10th in the College of Business CAT Auditorium. Students had a chance to compete in a Case Competition sponsored by COUNTRY Financial®. Students had an hour and a half to breakdown the case and then to present. . They will be giving $1,500 for first place, $1,000 for second place, and $500 for third place. Lunch from Avanti’s will be provided.
