Join us to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day with a local foods breakfast celebration featuring guest speaker Chad Pregracke.
Pregracke is the founder and president of Living Lands & Waters, a nonprofit river cleanup organization. Living Lands & Waters has organized and led over 1,000 community cleanups on 23 rivers in 20 states and removed over 10 million pounds of garbage. Illinois State University students are part of these cleanup efforts each March through Alternative Spring Breaks.
During his presentation, Pregracke will take the audience out on one of the world’s greatest rivers–a journey filled with endless challenges and gripping adventures. His delivery is motivating, captivating, genuine and refreshingly spontaneous. His story will show you that one person can truly make a difference!
Sponsored by: the Office of Sustainability, the Student Sustainability Committee, the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning, Alternative Breaks, and the Department of Geography, Geology, and the Environment.
