Education faculty to showcase cutting-edge research

Event Description

Graduate students and education personnel are invited to engage with College of Education faculty about their cutting-edge research at the first Research and Recognition event of the semester. It’s taking place from 3:30- 5 p.m. Monday, February 6, DeGarmo 551. Hear from faculty members Mark Zablock, Ellis Hurd, and Lydia Kyei-Blankson.

The Department of Special Education’s Zablocki will share the effectiveness of reciprocal teaching on students’ reading comprehension and reading self-efficacy. Kyei Blankson from the Department of Educational Administration and Foundations will present on teaching online and the importance of paying attention to interaction and presence. Finally, Hurd, of the School of Teaching and Learning, will discuss how the intersectionality of research can enable faculty to create unique spaces for innovative work.
