Engaged Redbirds

Join students, alumni, and the campus community as we gain a greater understanding of ways to support LGBTQ+ students with their career readiness. Special guest Dr. Jules Trobaugh will share her expertise with working with the Queer community and organizing and advising LGBTQ+ groups and individuals. Learn from a panel of professionals as they share their career experiences as members of the LGBTQ+ community, and ask questions about navigating the workforce as a queer person.

Open to LGBTQ+ individuals and allies.

Itinerary

Attendees are welcome to attend any session or the entire program.

  • 11 a.m.-12 p.m. speaker presentation
  • 12-1 p.m. lunch
  • 1-2 p.m. LGBTQ+ panel discussion

About the speaker

Jules Trobaugh, MFA, EdD (she, her, hers) serves as the diversity manager for the Diversity and Inclusion Office (DIO) at UMass Chan Medical School where she strives to improve the
campus culture and climate, organizes a monthly dialogue of historically marginalized groups,
and supports faculty, staff, and learners through lectures and curricular and extracurricular
support. Trobaugh is an advisor for QMass, the LGBTQ+ Patient and Family Advisory Council,
and the Rainbow Clinic.
