Event Description

Feminist pedagogy is not just for women or about women. It is a philosophy of teaching that allows instructors a framework to view, implement, and create inclusive- and egalitarian-based education. It is an approach to teaching and learning that incorporates feminist principles and values, such as equality of persons, shared knowledge, safe spaces for discussion and activism through education. This workshop will help participants to understand what feminist pedagogy is, as well as how they can incorporate it into their existing classes. Interactive activities and examples of feminist pedagogy will be provided. A stipend is available for eligible participants. Registration is required.

If you will need special accommodations, please contact the event organizer.
