The Freedom of Assembly in Politics Today: What Are Our Rights?
Over the past few years, high-profile protests have sparked renewed discussions on the right to peacefully assemble. In this session the history and major Supreme Court rulings on the freedom of assembly will be reviewed. Leonard will also discuss some of the more recent state-level bills that have been introduced to restrict the rights of protesters and what those mean for the first amendment.
