Event Description

Justice James Knecht of the Fourth District Appellate Court of Illinois will discuss the religion establishment and free exercise clause of the first Amendment. From wedding cakes to playgrounds, to women’s health care, freedom of religion and freedom from discrimination because of religion, continue to be issues in the 21st century as both society and the courts struggle to find a church state balance that echoes and honors the promise of America.
