Getting Started with Your Research at ISU

Faculty who started at ISU between fall 2019 and fall 2022 are invited to join this informational session about research. This interactive workshop will be led by Craig McLauchlan, Associate Vice President for Research, along with Jason Wagoner, Senior Director of Research and Sponsored Programs. You will have the opportunity to discuss what makes a successful researcher, any questions/concerns you have regarding research at ISU, and they will introduce you to some of the resources available at Illinois State University that could be helpful for you in conducting your research. Participants may attend in person or online. Registration is required.

Some of these resources involve assistance in areas including:

  • planning and conducting research
  • areas of research including scholarship of teaching and learning, human subjects, and animals
  • resources for writing and accountability
  • assistance in finding, pursuing, and managing funding (internal and external).
