Guest Artist Master Class: Daniel Pendley, string bass

Daniel Pendley joined the Buffalo Philharmonic as Principal Bass in September 2007.

He has appeared as a soloist with the BPO at Artpark and Canisius College. Mr. Pendley serves on the music faculty at the University of Buffalo and has presented masterclasses at UB, the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and the University of Louisville. Prior to moving to New York, Mr. Pendley served as the Assistant Principal Bass of the Louisville Orchestra for one year. Mr. Pendley earned his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in bass performance from the University of Cincinnati College- Conservatory of Music while studying with Albert Laszlo. He pursued further studies at the Aspen Music Festival and School as a fellowship student with Mr. Laszlo, as well as Eugene Levinson, Bruce Bransby, Chris Hanulik, and Paul Ellison. He lives on Buffalo’s West Side with his wife and daughters.
