Half Century Club reunion weekend
Saturday, October 15 , 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
The Illinois State University Half Century Club honors all alumni whose classes graduated 50 or more years ago. Join us at Homecoming 2022: Celebrating Red, October 14-15, for our Half Century Club Reunion as we induct the Class of 1972 as well as enjoy a weekend full of reminiscing, reconnecting, and Redbird pride.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14
1 p.m., Bone Student Center/Quad or Ewing Cultural Center Tour: Begin the reunion with a walking tour covering all the new updates to the revitalized Bone Student Center and a look at the beloved Quad or travel to the breathtaking Ewing Manor.
5-8:30 p.m., Reception and Dinner, Brown Ballroom: Sample hors d’oeuvres while reconnecting with former classmates followed by a special dinner with President Terri Goss Kinzy. The highlight of the evening will be the induction of the Class of 1972 into the Half Century Club and honoring landmark classes, which include Classes of 1947, 1952, 1957, 1962, and 1967. Keynotes will include ISU head softball coach Melinda Fischer and Bishop Tyrone P. Cooper of the Church of the Living God P.G.T., both members of the Class of 1972.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15
8 a.m., Homecoming Continental Breakfast and presentation by Dr. John Freed and Bill Kemp, Prairie Room-Bone Student Center: Grab a quick breakfast and hear two presentations, ISNU: Normal School or State University? and Blacks in McLean County: Citizenship, Jim Crow, and the Struggle for Equality.
10 a.m., Homecoming Parade: Sit with fellow Redbirds in our Half Century Club viewing area
Noon, Redbird Welcome Tent: Head to the Redbird tent zone to our alumni hospitality tent
2 p.m., Redbird football vs. South Dakota: For ticket information, visit GoRedbirds.com.
