How to Support Student Success in STEM Courses
Because students do not know how to effectively learn in early STEM courses, many students struggle to learn and succeed, leading to high D, F, and withdrawal (DFW) rates. But there are some simple, quick, and research-based actions you can take that will improve student learning. Come learn about the possibilities and, using data from your own courses, develop a ready to implement action plan for the academic year.
For this learning community, we will meet for a full day via Zoom on June 9 (with a 2-hour lunch break) and in the morning on June 11. We will then spend approximately 9 hours more during the rest of the summer using ReggieNet as you develop your peer-reviewed course materials.
A $300 stipend is available to eligible participants who complete the program. Registration is required by Monday, June 1.
