International Education Week: Panel Discussion on Internationalization
The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) committee on Internationalization presents a panel of faculty from various disciplines discussing opportunities, strategies and experiences of internationalization. The speakers represent the diversity of natural and social sciences to the humanities from the CAS. The speakers will each provide their own unique insights on the role of international education as applies to the majors within their department –be that study abroad or awareness of international scholarship and concepts. The speakers will also share events or activities within their departments that promote internationalization and/or discuss activities beyond their own departments that they would recommend students take advantage of. We realize that some faculty and departments are more “overt” in their internationalization programs; for other departments, this may take the form of helping students see how the departments navigate universal principles or criteria in culturally local situations. The panel is moderated by Dr. John Baldwin, Professor of Communications and immediate former Chair, International Studies Advisory Council (ISAC).
All faculty, students and staff are welcome to attend. Free buffet lunch will be provided.
