International Seminar Series: Israeli-Palestinian Co-existence

Date:
Wednesday, February 22nd
Time:
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Event Description

Professor of Criminal Justice Sciences Michael Gizzi will present “Co-existence and Exchange Efforts Among Jews and Arabs in the Context of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict” in the Prairie Room.

Gizzi will explore the tens of thousands of Israelis and Palestinians, Jews, and Arabs who are engaged in a wide-variety of efforts aimed at cooperation, co-existence, shared society, and peace-making.

Gizzi works with a co-existence project in Bloomington-Normal that resulted in his developing a research agenda focused on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. He is actively engaged in research on co-existence efforts in Israel, and is co-editing a book with Cary Nelson on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, the search for a two-state solution and Christian churches. He writes an occasional column for the Times of Israel, an English-language newspaper published in Jerusalem.

If you will need special accommodations, please contact the event organizer.
