Event Description

The Illinois State University Planetarium is pleased to present Cosmic Colors. Show times for Cosmic Colors are Wednesdays at 2 PM and Fridays at 7:30 PM. The show runs from May 18 through July 22, with no programs July 1.
Cosmic Colors takes you on a wondrous journey across the electromagnetic spectrum. Discover why the sky is blue and Mars is red. Explore the human eye and then journey within a plant leaf. Investigate x-rays by voyaging to a monstrous black hole and then back at your doctor’s office. You will even see the actual color of a dinosaur, based on recent evidence. Get ready for an amazing adventure under a rainbow of cosmic light!

Admission to the Illinois State University Planetarium is $4 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-12 and seniors, and $2 for children ages 3-4. Free weekend parking for the Planetarium is available a short distance away in the University’s red-tag F-67 lot, located on the east side of School Street.
