ISU Planetarium presents HUBBLE Vision
The Illinois State University Planetarium is pleased to offer “HUBBLE Vision,” on Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24. This is a single weekend event and will not be offered again. Show times for this spectacular full-dome video presentation are Friday at 7:30 PM and Saturday at 2 and 7:30 PM.
Since its launch in 1990, the Hubble Space Telescope has provided incredible images in unprecedented detail to astronomers and made an astonishing array of discoveries — from nearby objects in the solar system to the most distant galaxies at limits of the observable universe.
“HUBBLE Vision” takes the best and most exciting Hubble images and weaves them into an engaging story of cosmic exploration, bringing the wonders of the universe to audiences everywhere. “HUBBLE Vision” is a fascinating tour of the cosmos — from Earth orbit.
After “HUBBLE Vision” we’ll take a tour of the current evening sky, exploring many highlights including the bright stars, constellations, and planets visible from Central Illinois.
Admission to the Illinois State University Planetarium is $4 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-12 and seniors, and $2 for children ages 3-4. Free parking for the Planetarium is available a short distance away in the University’s red-tag F-67 lot, located on the east side of School Street.
