Event Description

Revealing Light’s Secrets: The Cosmic Origins Spectrograph, runs January 27 – May 6.  Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.  There are no shows during ISU’s Spring Break, March 10-18 and April 14-15.

Revealing Light’s Secrets: The Cosmic Origins Spectrograph explores spectroscopy, the science of light.  Discover how astronomers decipher clues in light from distant objects to study our universe.

Revealing Light’s Secrets also highlights the research of the Cosmic Origin Spectrograph (COS), aboard the Hubble Space Telescope—the last instrument installed by the NASA astronauts. The COS is giving us an unprecedented view into the vast space between our Milky Way and the galaxies which surrounds us.

The ISU Planetarium is located under the white domed roof at the eastern end of Felmley Hall of Science.  Felmley Hall is located on the northeast corner of the ISU campus at the intersection of School Street and College Avenue.

Free parking for the programs is available a short distance from the ISU Planetarium in University parking lot F-67, located on the east side of School Street.
