Leaders of Social Change Memphis 2019 Trip
Leaders of Social Change (LOSC) is a great way for students to learn about effective leaders, historical events, and how to make a difference in the world. During the LOSC trip, students examine leadership through the lens of social justice movements. Movements that may be featured could relate to race, gender, sexuality, and/or disabilities.
The Leaders of Social Change group will be traveling to Memphis, Tennessee, on January 7–12, 2019, to learn about the intersection of leadership and social justice. The five-day trip includes touring museums or significant sites, participating in a community service project, and listening to guest speakers and activists. Students will also reflect with others in both small and large groups, giving individuals the opportunity to connect with others and discuss how they view different social issues.
Applications are currently closed for this trip, but for more information and next year’s deadlines, visit the Leaders of Social Change website.
