The Library’s Academic Support Role in a Time of Educational Transformation

Demographic, economic, and technological changes will continue to impact the educational approaches taken at a growing share of colleges and universities. Methodological and technological changes will continue to impact research practices in numerous fields. The library’s academic support role is evolving no less. This talk will explore some of the choices that libraries face in how to serve the changing needs of students, instructors, researchers, and indeed parent institutions, as well as some of the factors that constrain and empower their academic support evolution.
