MLK Day of Service: Project XV Voting Rights Museum
Saturday, January 20 , 11:00 am – 3:00 pm CST
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is a National Day of Service to honor Dr. King’s commitment and contributions to the Civil Rights Movement and social justice. Join the Center for Civic Engagement and people across the nation as we serve our local community in Dr. King’s memory.
Our 2024 project will be with Project XV Voting Rights Museum. Volunteers will be helping prepare exhibit content fixtures, removing old content, and painting to help keep them on track to open to the public in April.
“Our mission is to educate and empower communities by shedding light on the rich history of voting rights. We aim to promote awareness of the struggles and triumphs of those who fought for their right to vote, and to inspire a new generation of activists to ensure equitable access to the ballot.”
Transportation will be provided for those who select that option when registering.
RSVP in Redbird Life.
Space is limited. If you have RSVP’d but can no longer attend, please cancel your RSVP through RedBird Life. Please join the waitlist if all spots are filled and check your email the week of for updates.
