Normal Food Summit with Chef Sean Sherman
Oglala Lakota Chef Sean Sherman will explore decolonizing the food system with events at Illinois State University.
A panel discussion of Native American cuisine, sustainability, food justice, and food sovereignty will take place at 3:30 p.m. April 14 by Zoom. Participants include Illinois State faculty, staff, and students affiliated with Food Studies and Native American Studies as well as representatives from Epiphany Farms, the Midwest Food Bank, the Savannah Institute, the Town of Normal, local food pantry and meal programs, and community gardens.
