Peace Corps Information and Application Session
The Peace Corps will hold an information and application session. Peace Corps volunteers live and work for 27-month terms of service in more than 60 nations. They receive a living stipend, extensive language and technical training, and financial benefits including eligibility for student loan forgiveness and graduate school fellowships after service. Students interested in applying to serve after graduation will have an opportunity to ask questions about service, learn which programs best match their skills, and gain valuable tips to guide them through the application process.
In addition to attending the event on September 17, interested students can contact recruiter Bryce Rinkenberger at firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information, visit www.peacecorps.gov and follow Peace Corps on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Illinois State has a strong partnership with Peace Corps, dating back to 1994 with the launch of the first Coverdell Fellows master’s program in community and economic development. The Peace Corps Prep program can help undergraduate students prepare for successful careers in public service.
