Event Description

All students interested in joining a social sorority or fraternity at Illinois State University are required to attend a Potential New Member Orientation Session sponsored by the Fraternity and Sorority Life Office. The orientation will cover basic information about joining a sorority or fraternity, including the history of Greek organizations, an overview of recruitment/intake, expectations of and opportunities for members of a Greek organization, risk management, hazing; costs, and the benefits of joining a sorority or fraternity. Students only need to attend one session in order to be eligible to participate in recruitment/intake for a social fraternity or sorority.
