Small description of event:
Participants will be led through a hands-on studio experience in the Ceramics studio. Each participant will build a mug using clay parts created through an extruder tool. With slabs for a base, walls of the cup, and handle, a cup will be built. George Barreca, a third year graduate student in ceramics will lead this workshop through demonstration, hands-on assistance and jovial conversation. After the workshop concludes, George will fire the work in order for your mug to be a used in your daily life. After the firing, the School of Art will work with the Alumni Relations staff to have the mug returned to each participant.
