Printmakers’ Exhibition and Sale in the School of Art

Friday, December 7th 2018
8:00 am - 6:30 pm

Event Description

Printmaking students, faculty, staff, and alumni in the School of Art display and sell their art on Thursday and Friday, December 6 and 7.

The 34th annual Printmakers’ Exhibition and Sale is a great opportunity for campus and community members to see and buy original artworks in the form of prints created by ISU students, faculty, staff, alumni, and visiting artists. Hundreds of prints will be on display. Most prices range from $5.00 to $100.00. The exhibition and sale takes place in the Center for Visual Arts room 123 from 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m. December 7. A preview will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, December 6.

All proceeds will go to support the ISU Printmaking program in the School of Art. Selected items have been designated for 100 percent of the proceeds to support the Printmaking Student Travel Fund to encourage student participation in national and regional conferences.

A silent auction will also be available at the sale. We are pleased to present four silent auction pieces by ISU faculty, and staff to benefit the printmaking student travel fund and a silent auction piece by a visiting artist to benefit Normal Editions Workshop’s Student Scholarship Fund: an untitled five-color lithograph by Reuben Lorch-Miller.

Winners of the four silent auction events will be announced at 6:30 p.m. and need not be present to win. This event is free and open to the public. For additional information about this event, artwork, or to arrange an accommodation to participate in this event, please contact Veda Rives Aukerman (vrives@ilstu.edu or 309-438-7530). Proceeds from the Printmaker Student Travel Fund last year supported three students to attend and participate in the Mid-America Print Council Conference in Laramie, Wyoming.
