Researching and Teaching through Arts-Based Inquiry Methods
This workshop introduces faculty to arts-based research design (ABR) to augment qualitative approaches undergraduate and graduate students typically select for research projects. At the same time, gaining an appreciation for arts-based inquiry can lead faculty to adopt such practices for their own research, especially SoTL projects. Participants will learn about the nature and merits of ABR, experience several activities, and create a class assignment and assessment method appropriate for their course. A stipend is available for eligible participants. Registration is required.
