Event Description

The ISU School of Music is partnering with Heartland Head Start for the second year in a row, implementing a literacy-based music curriculum called “MusicScores!” as part of the PreK classroom schedule.  Professors Christiana Reader and Adriana Ransom will discuss the benefits and challenges of this program, and will highlight ways in which instruction on the violin can help underserved preschool children prepare for Kindergarten.  The presentation will begin at 4:30 p.m.

All faculty, staff, annuitants and guests are welcome to join us at the University Club from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. this Friday in the Faculty/Staff Commons in the Bone Student Center. You need not be a University Club member to attend. Additional information about U-Club events and activities can be found at our website, http://uclub.illinoisstate.edu/. Continued program support is provided by the Offices of the ISU Provost and President.
