Event Description

Learn strategies that will help you intervene in harmful or toxic conversations in your classrooms and engage your students in dialogue that fosters an understanding of multiple perspectives. Campuses across the country, including Illinois State University, have experienced a rise in hostile and polarizing comments in class. Illinois State is committed to ensuring that all students can learn in an environment that is safe, inclusive, and includes the expectation that students act in a mutually respectful manner towards each other. Representatives from the Dean of Students Office and the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution will be on hand to describe their roles and share resources. No registration is necessary.

If you will need special accommodations, please contact the event organizer.
