RSISU to host first Methodologies and Methods Conference
Rhetoric Society of ISU (RSISU) is excited to announce our first conference, “Methodologies and Methods,” which will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, April 28 in Stevenson Hall.
The keynote address will be delivered by Michele Simmons (Miami University), author of Participation and Power: Civic Discourse in Environmental Policy Decision. Additional presentations will be given in the morning by Donnie Sackey (Wayne State), Eric Pritchard (University of Illinois), and Katherine Silvester (Indiana University).
The afternoon will include a variety of roundtable discussions, moderated by these guest speakers and our own Illinois State University faculty, geared towards assisting graduate students in workshopping and further developing methodologies and methods for their own research projects. This event is funded in part by the Rhetoric Society of America (RSA) and the Illinois State University RSO Opportunity Fund.
This is an incredible chance to interact with scholars in our field as we engage in our own methodological work. We hope that you will join us for this event; we cannot stress the value of this opportunity enough so, please, mark your calendars to attend and feel free to share this with anyone you think may be interested.
For further information, of if you require an accommodation to participate in this event, please contact the RSISU Leadership Team through Lisa Dooley at firstname.lastname@example.org.
