Date:
Thursday, March 2nd
Time:
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Website:

Event Description

In an effort to provide support to our lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) community, the Dean of Students Office has created Safe Zone. Safe Zone provides  students, faculty and staff the opportunity to create safe spaces on campus that are highly visible and easily identifiable to lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) persons. These Safe Zones are spaces where support and understanding are readily available and bigotry and discrimination are not tolerated.

During the two-hour orientation session, participants engage in a mock coming-out exercise, discuss case studies, and receive resources and follow-up activities.

Registration is required.

If you will need special accommodations, please contact the event organizer.
