Spring Institute: Learning Activities and Assessment for the Flipped Classroom
“Flipping” course content can help facilitate powerful, student-centered learning. This method of teaching requires that students gain a basic knowledge of the content by reading material or watching videos or recorded lectures in preparation for class, which allows class time to be used for applying that knowledge in meaningful ways. Assessment needs to play an important role in this type of teaching. In this session, we will explore a variety of teaching strategies, based on Universal Design for Learning, which we can use in our flipped classrooms and methods for assessing student learning. Registration is required using the website link, above.
