Study Abroad First Steps Session
Attend one of our First Steps sessions! These informational meetings are held several times per week during the school year where you can learn how to get started exploring study abroad opportunities. These sessions are a great introduction, as they cover the basics of a first appointment with a Study Abroad Advisor without having to make an appointment!
By attending these sessions you will learn:
What to consider when studying abroad
Best practices for exploring program options
How to search for course offerings and ISU course equivalents
How to read a budget
Where to find scholarships
The timeline of the application process
How to apply
After attending First Steps, you will be prepared to meet with a Study Abroad Advisor. This allows you time to explore program options and ask specific questions. The Advisor is able to help you determine which program is the best fit for your academic, personal, career and financial interests.

Monday – 1-1:50 p.m.
Tuesday – 10-10:50 p.m.
