Class Description
Sustainability has become a buzzword for companies, organizations, universities, cities and communities, but what IS sustainability? What does sustainability mean at ISU, in our community and across the world? How do we know when we ARE sustainable? This class will introduce three pillars of sustainability: the planet or environmental aspects, the people or social responsibility side, and the profits or economic factors. By taking a more holistic look at sustainability, participants will have a better understanding of the term while also learning practical ways to live sustainably and promote sustainable practices.
September 11 – What is Sustainability?
September 13 – Environmental Pillar
September 18 – Social Pillar
September 20 – Economic Pillar
