Event Description

Join hundreds of colleagues for the largest conversation about teaching and student learning on campus. The 2019 University-Wide Teaching & Learning Symposium explores Contemplative Teaching: Connecting Meaning, Purpose, and Values. This unique theme encourages new forms of inquiry, reflective thinking, and experiential learning.  Bridge disciplinary boundaries and help students to connect learning to their lives, values, and identities.

This year’s luncheon keynote speaker is Michelle Chatman, an assistant professor at the University of the District of Columbia, whose efforts have increased her institution’s utilization of mindfulness and contemplative approaches to enhance campus well-being, support student learning, and to build stronger connections within and across the university. Luncheon is free for attendees.  Registration is required by Friday, December 14.

Go to CTLT.IllinoisState.edu/Symposium to learn more and reserve you seat.
