Event Description

The start of the semester can often be a source of anxiety for inexperienced graduate instructors. Feeling overwhelmed? Worried you got off on the wrong foot with your students? Not sure what to do next? This one-hour workshop provides a judgment-free zone for graduate students to discuss concerns about teaching or being a teaching assistant. Learn tricks of the trade and get support from experienced graduate instructors who remember what it is like to be new and confused.

No registration is necessary. Although geared toward those just starting out in the classroom, this event is open to all Illinois State graduate students with instructor or teaching assistant duties.

If you will need special accommodations, please contact the event organizer.
