Synopsis
It’s the Jersey shore, imagined through the pen of American dramatist Tina Howe (1937-2023). The quirky diners of Cal and Ellen’s elegant restaurant carry out their private dramas over gourmet dinners. Crass and chic career women, a shy and neurotic writer and her publisher, a sensual middle-aged couple ecstatic over the menu, and the eccentric owners all reveal their true selves in unintentional and sometimes hilarious ways.
