For in person participation, pricing is per person.
For ZOOM participation, pricing is one registration per household.

Four 2-hour sessions (one Academy of Seniors class).
$15 single-session option available for in-person attendance (pay at door).

Class Description
The French Revolution of 1789 is often considered the beginning of “modern” history, having destroyed an old regime based on an absolutist monarchy, the confessional state, privilege, and feudalism, and having implemented a new regime based on Enlightenment rationality, national sovereignty, equality, and universal human rights. This course will explore the origins and significance of the Revolution while seeking to understand why the Revolution was difficult to end, why it drifted into Terror, and how Napoleon Bonaparte rose to power in 1799.
