FILM SCHEDULE

Tuesday, August 29 | 7 p.m.
All that Breathes
In one of the world’s most populated cities, two brothers — Nadeem and Saud — devote their lives to the quixotic effort of protecting the black kite, a majestic bird of prey essential to the ecosystem of New Delhi that has been falling from the sky at alarming rates. Amid environmental toxicity and social unrest, the “kite brothers” spend day and night caring for the creatures in their makeshift avian basement hospital.

Tuesday, September 19 | 7 p.m.
The Human Scale
Half of the human population lives in cities. By 2050, this will increase to 80%. Life in a megacity is both enchanting and problematic. Today we face peak oil, climate change, loneliness, and severe health issues due to our way of life. But why?

Tuesday, October 17 | 7 p.m.
The Sacrifice Zone
The Sacrifice Zone follows Maria as she leads a group of warriors who are fighting to break the cycle of poor communities of color serving as dumping grounds, so the rest of us can live in comfortable ignorance.

Tuesday, November 14 | 7 p.m.
The Story of Plastic
The Story of Plastic reveals the ugly truth behind plastic pollution and the false solution of plastic recycling. Different from every other plastic documentary you’ve seen, The Story of Plastic presents a cohesive timeline of how we got to our current global plastic pollution crisis
and how the oil and gas industry has successfully manipulated the narrative around it.
