The Professor, the Pupil, and the Story
Five years from now, your students might not remember that term they learned in your class—but, if done right, they will always remember the story you told explaining the concept behind the term. This workshops delves into the literature on storytelling and its use in higher education. You’ll evaluate the benefits of narratives as pedagogical tools and learn how to enhance your lectures by creating or identifying stories that grip students. You’ll also discover how assignments can help students create their own narratives, connecting the content of the course with their future lives and careers. A stipend is available for eligible participants. Registration is required.
