Professional Speaker Series: April Anderson-Zorn, 9/18
As part of the Professional Speaker Series, the Publications Unit in the Department of English is welcoming April Anderson-Zorn, University Archivist for Illinois State University, to give a presentation on her work as a university archivist and her career track.
The presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18 at 10:30 a.m. in the Publications Unit (Williams Hall Annex)
This presentation is free and open to the public.
About April Anderson-Zorn
April Anderson-Zorn is the university archivist for Illinois State University. Anderson-Zorn earned master’s degrees in library and information science from Florida State University and history from the University of Central Florida. She is a certified archivist through the Academy of Certified Archivists and holds a Digital Archives Specialist Certificate through the Society of American Archivists. Anderson-Zorn has also worked as an archives consultant partnering with a number of academic institutions and companies to help set up their archives programs.
About the Event Series
The Professional Speaker Series invites professionals in the field of publishing to visit the Publications Unit in person or virtually to lecture on a pertinent topic and finish with an in-depth Q&A session with students and interested university and community members. This event series is a great networking opportunity in an informal setting and a chance for students to learn about careers wherein they can apply their English and publishing skills.
