“United in Anger: A History of ACT UP” screening (Fired Up! film series)
Wednesday, February 18 , 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm CST
Join Queer Coalition, Illinois State’s sponsored LGBTQIA+ faculty, staff, and graduate student affinity group, for a FREE screening of United in Anger: A History of ACT UP (2012). Through startling archival footage that puts the audience on the ground with the activists, United in Anger depicts the efforts of activist group ACT UP as it battles corporate greed, social indifference, and government negligence during the darkest days of the AIDS crisis. Dave Bentlin of Prairie Pride Coalition will provide a short introduction prior to the screening.
