Event Description

Move beyond your own way of learning and embrace the many ways of thinking and learning students bring to the classroom. Universal Design for Instruction seeks to identify obstacles to learning in our increasingly diverse classrooms. The goal: create more inclusive and respectful learning environments. Discover proactive strategies that instructors from all content areas can use to improve their teaching and focus on student’s abilities instead of their deficits. Ultimately, you will create a list of concrete practices you can implement in their own classes to employ the principles of UDI.
