Bringing Cybersecurity Education to ISU

Event Description

Dr. Mary Elaine Califf, Director of the School of Information Technology, and Dr. Glen Sagers, Assistant Director of the School and leader of the security program, will discuss the new Cybersecurity major and the process by with the major came about. This is a cutting edge program which already has 126 majors in its first semester in existence, and it was developed in conjunction with State Farm and other industry partners. The talk will be presented at 4:30 p.m. at the University Club in the Founders Suite in the Bone Student Center.

All faculty, staff, annuitants and guests are welcome to join us at the University Club from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. this Friday in the Founders Suite in the Bone Student Center. You need not be a University Club member to attend. Additional information about U-Club events and activities can be found at our website, http://uclub.illinoisstate.edu/. Continued program support is provided by the Office of the ISU Provost and President. In addition, snacks and liquid refreshments are available at each meeting.
